Join a fun 4-hour Mt.Takao hiking with local families!
Mt. Takao is the closest natural recreation area to central Tokyo, offering beautiful scenery, an authentic temple and an attractive hiking course. 
The easy trail is perfect for families with kids, offering beautiful seasonal views.
At first, we will go up to the middle of the mountain by the mountain railway or lift. 
And then, we will start hiking to the Yakuoin Temple, a huge authentic Japanese temple sitting in the middle of Mt. Takao.
There is a monkey park and some shops for food on the way. We can stop by if you are interested in.
We will have a break at the Takao-san Yakuoin Temple. There you can enjoy a panoramic view of Tokyo city.
After enjoying looking around the temple, we will walk back to the mountain railway station.
It might take more hours to hike to the top of Mt. Takao, but if you are interested, please feel free to contact us.
We will arrange the plan as flexibly as possible.

[Basic Plan]

10:00 – Meet at Takaosanguchi Station (Keio Line)
10:10 – Walk to the ticket center and get tickets either for the mountain railway or the lift.
10:30 – Get on the mountain railway or lift to go up on the middle of the mountain.
10:45 – Start hiking about 45-50 minutes.
11:30 – Enjoy sightseeing at Takao-san Yakuoin Temple and stop by shops and monkey park if you like.
Then, hike back to the mountain railway or lift station.
12:45 – Get on the mountain railway or lift to get down the mountain.
13:00 – Lunch at local soba noodle restaurant or café around the station.
14:00 – Go back to the Takaosanguchi Station, Keio Line.
Note: depending on the starting time, we will adjust the lunch time.
