I wanted to connect with other humans, a family is ideal! Rather than doing all the same tourist stuff as everyone else who is visiting.
I love traveling but I don’t enjoy being a tourist as much. I love getting to know people and make friendships.
When I first asked my child about it, he was kind of nervous and thought it was maybe awkward meeting someone he didn’t know but I went ahead and planned it anyways.
It quickly became something he was very interested in and was looking forward to when we would meet this other family. He loved the experience! We wish we had more time to spend with them!
